Visit to Highgrove House. If you’d be interested in a visit to Highgrove House, HRH The Prince of Wale’s Private Garden please let the Parish Office know as places are limited. We will have a lottery as this will not be on a first come first served basis. The coach will leave Hersham mid-morning to join the tour at 1.30pm on Friday 12th September. Your tour will last about 1½ hours and you will be walking just under two miles. Please note some paths are unmade and there are cobblestones and there are no seating facilities around the garden. Cost per person £20. More details of how to secure your place will follow later.
Calling all cyclists! This year’s Surrey Churches Bike Ride takes place on Saturday 13th September. Anyone who would like to make up a group to cycle around the churches in Emly Deanery (or even further) should contact Des Humphrey (01932 231754) for a sponsorship form. Money raised goes towards preserving Surrey churches and half the proceeds are returned to St. Peter’s. Anyone under 50 would reduce significantly the average age of our group. Teenagers particularly welcome.
Westminster Abby have issued us with a Parish Pass which admits up to 4 adults or young people up to the age of 18, free of charge. (Children up to the age of 11 are admitted free to the Abbey if accompanied by an adult). The pass may be used up to 6 times during a twelve month period. Please contact the Parish Office if you’d like to borrow it.
Home communion is available for those who are unable to attend church. Please contact Nick or Jonathan.
